About Sean

Sean Ruppert built a clear path into the law with steady steps. He earned a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University and completed his J.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2012. The classroom years set the foundation for a practice that has taken him into both state and federal courtrooms.

Early in his career Ruppert began practicing in Pennsylvania. Over time he gained admissions to several federal courts. His credentials now include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is also admitted in the State of Pennsylvania and in the District of Colorado. Those admissions allow him to handle matters that move between state systems and the federal bench.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in court preparation and direct in client communication. He has handled filings and appearances across multiple jurisdictions, and he navigates procedural variation between district courts and appellate rules. Courtroom appearances have included assorted motion practice and hearings in front of federal judges and magistrates. He combines procedural familiarity with an emphasis on clear written work when presenting briefs or responses.

Ruppert's practice sits at the intersection of litigation and courtroom advocacy. At Kraemer, Manes, & Associates he works on matters that require admissions across several federal districts as well as the Third Circuit. His role at the firm involves preparing pleadings, arguing motions, and coordinating litigation strategy when cases have multi-district or interstate elements. He balances case management duties with attendance at hearings and the drafting of appellate materials when appeals arise.

Outside the courtroom he maintains ties to legal education through continuing legal education and stays current on shifts in federal procedure. He also mentors more junior attorneys in practical courtroom skills and in handling cross-jurisdictional filings. His calendar typically mixes hearings in Pennsylvania federal courts with appearances in other districts where clients' matters require it. His current practice focuses on litigation in state and federal courts.
