About Sean P.
Sean P. Harrell built a legal path that begins in the classroom and moves quickly into the courtroom. He studied German and political science as an undergraduate, then turned to law. The result is a blend of languages, policy and practical lawyering that has shaped his choices.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Lipscomb University in 2003, where he studied German and political science. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver in 2010. At Denver, his coursework included corporations, contracts, bankruptcy, criminal procedure and negotiations. Those subjects show up again in the kinds of matters he handles now.
Harrell entered public service soon after law school. In 2011 he served as a deputy district lawyer in the 18th Judicial District Lawyer’s Office. That early work put him in court and offered regular exposure to case preparation, hearings and the pace of trial calendars.
He moved into private practice in the years that followed. In 2013 he joined Folkestad Fazekas Barrick & Patoile, P.C. The next year he worked as a lawyer at Ellmann & Ellmann, P.C., and also took an of counsel role at O’Malley Law Office, P.C. Those positions covered both litigation and transactional tasks, and they broadened his experience across civil and criminal matters.
In 2022 Harrell opened The Harrell Law Office, PLLC. He runs the firm as owner and handles the daily practice, client consultations and case strategy. Recognition from peers came earlier in his career when he was named to the National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 40 Under 40 list, an honor that highlights trial activity for lawyers under a certain age. He maintains memberships in professional organizations and participates in local legal circles.
The combination of public-prosecutor work, successive private-firm roles and substantive coursework informs how Harrell approaches cases. He draws on corporate and contract training for business matters. His bankruptcy coursework underpins work in insolvency-related disputes. Criminal procedure study and time in the district lawyer’s office lend experience relevant to criminal filings and hearings. His practice involves both courtroom advocacy and negotiated resolutions.
He continues to operate The Harrell Law Office, PLLC, overseeing a practice that addresses litigation, business law issues and matters arising from bankruptcy and criminal procedure. He is based in Colorado and handles cases across the state as part of his current practice focus.
