Sean M. Towner built his legal foundation in the Midwest. He earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and English from Ball State University in 2006, then took his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2009. The trajectory from undergraduate studies to law school set a clear path toward courtroom practice.
After law school he returned to Indiana and joined the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office. He served as a deputy prosecuting attorney beginning in 2009. That period gave him regular exposure to courtroom procedures, case preparation and trial work. He handled matters on behalf of the county and gained practical experience early in his career.
Towner moved into private practice later in the 2010s. He joined May Oberfell Lorber and became a partner in 2017. His admissions include the Indiana and Michigan bars, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and several federal district courts, including the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and the Western District of Michigan.
