About Sean
Sean Forrester built his legal foundation at Arizona State University, where he earned a B.S. in 2006. He continued his studies at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and received his J.D. in 2009. The path from law school to courtroom practice was steady and deliberate.
He began his early legal work in internships and clerkships. In 2008 he spent time as a legal intern at Sixty Plus, Inc., and after law school he worked as a project clerk at Lewis & Roca in 2009. Those roles exposed him to litigation support and case preparation in larger firm environments.
Forrester entered private practice in 2010. He joined Alan M. Simpson, PC as an associate, the same year he also worked with Ryley Carlock & Applewhite in a document control capacity. Those positions overlapped the first years of his membership in the State Bar of Arizona, which began in 2010 and continues to the present.
By 2016 he moved into a leading role at Lerner and Rowe Law Group, serving as Managing Criminal Lawyer. The title reflected a shift toward handling criminal matters and supervising case teams. He is admitted to practice in Arizona and is authorized to appear before the Supreme Court of Arizona and the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. Those credentials allow him to take cases at both the state and federal level.
Forrester’s career shows an emphasis on court work and case management. He has experience in trial preparation, client counseling, and coordinating discovery. Colleagues describe his approach as procedural and pragmatic; he tends to rely on established litigation processes rather than novel strategies.
He maintains an active membership in the State Bar of Arizona, a professional affiliation he has held since 2010. That membership supports his ability to practice across the state and to handle matters that require knowledge of Arizona criminal statutes and local court procedures.
His work history includes both large firm and boutique environments, giving him exposure to different practice models and client types. Today he continues to work in Arizona courts and federal court in the District of Arizona. He currently practices criminal defense, representing clients in state and federal matters.
