About Sean C.
Sean C. Flaherty began his legal path at Quinnipiac College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. He went on to New England Law | Boston and received his J.D. There he completed the formal legal training that set the stage for a career in courtroom work and client advocacy. He is licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
After law school he joined The Keches Law Group, P.C. He rose through the firm and in 2004 became its managing partner. In that role he has overseen litigation strategy, case development and day-to-day firm management. Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom and attentive in client meetings; his practice life has been shaped by handling contested matters where trial preparation matters.
Flaherty’s work centers on injury and compensation issues. He represents people in workers’ compensation claims and related workplace-injury litigation. That caseload includes contested hearings, settlement negotiations and trials before administrative and civil forums. He also handles aspects of trial practice that touch on evidence, witness preparation and appellate briefing when cases move beyond the initial hearing.
He maintains an active presence in both local and statewide professional groups. His memberships include the Bristol Bar Association, the Plymouth County Bar Association and the Taunton Bar Association. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. On the subject-matter side, he belongs to the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Workers’ Injury and Advocacy Group and the National Workers Compensation Advocacy Group. Those affiliations keep him plugged into changes in practice procedures and recent court decisions.
In the office he combines management duties with direct client work. As managing partner at The Keches Law Group, P.C., he supervises other attorneys while also taking primary responsibility for complex files. He has continued to handle courtroom dockets even as administrative responsibilities expanded.
Outside of litigation specifics, Flaherty’s practice has long emphasized careful case assessment and thorough preparation for hearings. He works to ensure clients understand options at each stage of a claim and to present disputes clearly at trial. He currently practices at The Keches Law Group, P.C., concentrating on workers’ compensation and workplace-injury matters.
