About Scott

Scott Lippert built his career around courtroom work and county-level criminal matters. He moved from law school into a series of hands-on roles that exposed him to both sides of the criminal justice system. The result is a practice shaped by time in a prosecutor’s office and years in private practice.

He earned an undergraduate degree in English literature and classical humanities from Miami University of Ohio and later completed his legal training at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Those years supplied the academic grounding for a practice that emphasizes statutory detail and courtroom procedure as much as written advocacy.

Lippert began his post-law school career in private practice as an associate at Miller & Associates. That early period was followed by a move into public service when he joined the district lawyer’s office covering Burke, Caldwell and Catawba Counties. In that role he handled criminal prosecutions and day-to-day courtroom work, gaining repeated trial experience and the routines of county-level criminal dockets.

After several years in the district office, Lippert returned to private practice and later became a partner at Beyer & Lippert, Lawyers at Law, a firm he joined as partner in 2022. His experience on both sides of the bar informs his approach to cases. He is a board-certified specialist in North Carolina criminal law, a credential granted by the North Carolina State Bar. That certification marks a particular level of recognized experience and testing in the field of criminal law.

Throughout his career Lippert has maintained an active presence in North Carolina’s legal community. He has worked across multiple county courts and handled matters that required familiarity with both trial practice and pretrial procedure. Colleagues and opposing counsel see him as an attorney who understands the mechanics of courtroom litigation and the practical demands of case preparation.

Today he is identified with Beyer & Lippert, Lawyers at Law, where his caseload reflects the criminal law background he developed as a prosecutor and as a private practitioner. He continues to work in North Carolina courts and remains engaged in criminal law matters at the firm.

He currently practices at Beyer & Lippert, Lawyers at Law, where he handles criminal law matters in North Carolina.
