About Scott K
Scott K Walker began his legal path in southern Illinois. He earned an A.A. from John A. Logan in 2009, a B.A. in Political Science and Pre‑Law with an economics minor from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2011, and a J.D. from the same law school in 2016. His law school coursework emphasized business, commercial and transactional law.
After law school, Walker joined the Timothy Keller Law Office. He worked there first as a clerk and paralegal in 2015. By 2017 he was practicing as an attorney at the same firm. Those years provided everyday courtroom exposure and hands-on experience drafting pleadings, contracts and transactional documents.
In 2020 he launched SK Walker Law. As founder and owner he handles intake, client counseling and case management. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, and he uses the major research platforms Bloomberg Law, LexisNexis and Westlaw in his practice.
Walker maintains memberships in several professional and community organizations. He has been a member of Phi Delta Phi since 2013 and has served as Exchequer. He is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta since 2013. His civic associations include life membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars since 2012 and membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks since 2019. Earlier in his life he served as a trainer, coach and board member with the YMCA from 2000 to 2005.
Colleagues describe Walker as methodical and practical. He spends much of his time on commercial matters and routine litigation tasks, drafting transactional documents and advising small business owners on contractual issues. He also appears in federal and state court when cases move to litigation.
He keeps a steady caseload through SK Walker Law, where he advises clients on business, commercial and transactional matters and handles related civil litigation in state and federal courts. His current practice concentrates on business, commercial and transactional law.
