About Scott
Scott Cooper earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1990. He stayed on the path to law and completed his J.D. at Widener University in 1993. Those years set the stage for a practice centered in Pennsylvania courts.
He joined Schmidt Kramer, P.C. in 1993 and is listed as a partner at the firm. Over more than three decades he has combined courtroom work with roles in bar and trial organizations. He has maintained an active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar while also participating in local and national trial lawyer groups.
Cooper’s involvement in professional organizations has been a visible part of his career. He is a current member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice. He also belongs to the Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Bar Association. His leadership credentials include serving as Immediate Past-President of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, a role he has held since 2013.
Those affiliations reflect the practical focus of his work. Cooper appears regularly in Pennsylvania courts and handles litigation matters that require trial experience. Colleagues describe him as someone who combines familiarity with courtroom procedure and organizational leadership. He has stayed active in continuing education and in the professional networks that shape trial practice across the state.
Cooper divides his time between the firm’s Harrisburg and Camp Hill offices. He manages client matters from those locations and remains involved in both case work and bar activities. As of 2026, he continues to practice law in Pennsylvania, handling civil litigation and trial matters from the Harrisburg and Camp Hill offices.
