About Sarah

Sarah Kennedy built a foundation in psychology before turning to law. She earned a B.A. in psychology from Boston College in 1995. Nearly a decade later she completed her legal training at Suffolk University, receiving her J.D. in 2004.

Her early career placed her in public service. In 2005 she served as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Middlesex District Lawyer's Office. That role put her in courtrooms and at counsel tables. It gave her practical trial exposure and a steady flow of contested matters. The public office experience also shaped how she approaches client advocacy and case preparation.

Kennedy is admitted in Massachusetts and New York. She joined the Massachusetts Bar Association in 2010 and became a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts in 2011. Those memberships keep her connected to colleagues across practice areas and to continuing legal education programs. She participates in the bar community and uses those networks when handling cross-jurisdictional issues.

Over time she moved from government work into private practice. She now operates a solo practice under the name Law Office of Sarah E. Kennedy. Running a small office means she handles intake, client counseling, and courtroom work herself. Clients reach her through direct contact with the office rather than through a large firm’s intake system. That setup shapes how she organizes files and communicates case strategy.

Colleagues describe Kennedy as steady in the courtroom and practical at the negotiating table. She prefers clear preparation over grand gestures. Her background in psychology informs how she prepares witnesses and how she frames arguments for judges and juries. She blends that perspective with the procedural training she received at Suffolk and the hands-on experience from Middlesex.

Outside of casework she stays involved in professional circles and continuing education. Her memberships in statewide bar groups reflect a longtime engagement with the legal community in Massachusetts. She also maintains professional ties that extend into New York, where she is admitted to practice.

She maintains an independent practice at the Law Office of Sarah E. Kennedy and directs her work toward serving clients in Massachusetts and New York.
