About Sara
Sara MacGregor earned a Bachelor of Arts from Northern Michigan University in 2007, where she studied pre-law and took minors in communications and chemistry. She went on to complete her legal education at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, receiving a J.D. in 2014. Her academic background combines liberal arts, scientific perspective and formal legal training.
After law school, MacGregor entered practice in Michigan. She is an associate lawyer at Grabel & Associates. In that role she has taken on the responsibilities typical of a mid-level associate: advising clients, preparing legal documents, conducting research and appearing in court when cases require. Her work at the firm has involved managing files from intake through disposition and collaborating with colleagues on strategy and case preparation.
MacGregor maintains active professional ties across statewide and local bar groups. She lists current membership in the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association. Locally, she is a member of the Delta County Bar Association and the Schoolcraft, Luce, Alger, Mackinac (SLAM) Bar Association. Those memberships indicate regular engagement with the legal community in northern Michigan and beyond.
Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She breaks down complex facts and applies statutory and case law to the questions at hand. Her daily practice requires a mix of writing, client communication and courtroom work. She has handled pleadings and motions, negotiated with opposing parties and prepared witnesses for hearings. She also participates in firm meetings that shape case strategy and client counseling.
MacGregor’s education and her bar memberships tie her closely to Michigan practice. She works from the Grabel & Associates offices and serves clients across the state. Outside the office she keeps current on legal developments through bar programs and continuing legal education resources. Those activities help inform the choices she makes for clients and the arguments she brings to court.
At this point in her career MacGregor remains based in Michigan and continues to build her practice at Grabel & Associates. She is an active member of several bar associations and represents clients in matters across Michigan under the auspices of Grabel & Associates.
