About Sara A.
Sara A. Evanczyk began her legal path after earning a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 2001, following a bachelor’s degree in public policy and economics from Indiana University Bloomington in 1997. Her education placed her at the intersection of law, public policy, and economics early on. That background informs the practical, process-oriented work she has pursued since entering the field.
Her career started in private practice at the office of Stephen J. Harhai in 2001. She moved through a series of roles over the next decade, joining Richmond, Sprouse and Murphy, LLC in 2008 and later opening her own law office in 2010. She added mediation services to her professional profile and in 2013 served as a contract mediator with the Office of Dispute Resolution. Those positions reflect a steady shift toward alternative dispute resolution and family law–related practice.
Evanczyk has completed substantial training aimed at family and dispute resolution matters. Her certificates include Child and Family Investigator Training through the Colorado Bar Association’s continuing legal education program, comprehensive training for parenting coordinators and decision-makers, and a 40-hour mediation training course. She also has been involved in volunteer court-connected mediation projects, including the Eagle County Small Claims Mediation Project and the Northwest Colorado Legal Services Project.
Her association memberships are extensive and sustained. She joined the Colorado Bar Association in 2001 and maintains membership there. She is a member of the Mediation Association of Colorado and the National Association for Conflict Resolution. Since 2015 she has held membership in the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, including the Colorado chapter. She has been active in local civic organizations such as Women of the Summit, where she served in leadership roles from 2008 through 2015 and has continued as a member.
Her work spans client representation and neutral facilitation. She has experience in family law matters and in mediating disputes outside the courtroom. The training she completed supports roles as a mediator, child and family investigator, and parenting coordinator. Her practice mixes advocacy for clients and appointment-based neutral services in family and civil disputes.
Evanczyk practices from The Law Office of Sara A. Evanczyk, LLC. She maintains legal and mediation activity in Colorado and continues to accept roles in represented and neutral capacities, focusing on family law, mediation, and related dispute resolution services.
