About Sandra J

Sandra J Nettleton combines a technical undergraduate background with a decade-and-a-half in the legal profession. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, then returned to the same campus for law school, receiving her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 2010. The numerical training that shaped her undergraduate years remains a clear part of how she approaches legal problems.

Her legal career began shortly after law school. She joined the Colorado Bar and began practicing in Colorado courts. Early positions included work at The Sayer Law Group, PC in 2018, where she developed practical courtroom and client service experience. Two years later she moved to Robinson & Henry, P.C., taking on a broader caseload and sharpening her litigation skills.

In 2021 Nettleton established The Nettleton Law Office. As the firm’s owner, she shifted from associate duties to running a small practice. That transition expanded her work to include client intake, case management, and the administrative responsibilities that come with operating a boutique firm. The move also brought her closer to the communities she serves in Colorado.

Her professional affiliations trace a steady pattern of civic and peer engagement. She has been a member of the Colorado Bar Association since 2010 and joined the Colorado Women’s Bar Association in 2018. She participates in the Arapahoe County Bar Association and has been involved with civic groups such as the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks. Earlier civic ties include membership in the Idaho Springs Chamber of Commerce from 2016 to 2018.

Beyond bar work, she retains ties to STEM and academic communities. She is listed as a member of the Society of Women Engineers and has long-standing affiliation with Phi Beta Kappa. Those memberships underline an ongoing link to analytical disciplines and to networks outside the strictly legal realm.

Colleagues describe her approach as methodical and detail-oriented. She draws on her mathematics and computer science training when preparing cases and parsing documents. Her practice has evolved from supporting roles at established firms to leading a small office that handles a variety of client matters in Colorado.

She is licensed to practice in Colorado and maintains an active practice through The Nettleton Law Office, handling matters for clients across the state.
