About Sami

Sami Thalji earned a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Florida in 1991 and went on to obtain a J.D. from the same institution in 1998. He completed his legal education at a time when Florida was seeing rapid growth in both residential development and consumer protection litigation. That timing has shaped the arc of his career.

Early on, Thalji established his practice in Florida. He is licensed to practice in the state and has built a practice that touches on disputes arising from commerce and construction. He combines courtroom experience with practical knowledge of how projects and transactions unfold in the real world. Colleagues and clients have noted his ability to translate technical construction issues into clear legal arguments.

Thalji holds a Florida General Contractor certification issued by the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. That credential gives him an uncommon perspective for an attorney: he understands contractor licensing, building standards, and on-the-ground project management. He has used that background in matters where construction defects, contract performance and repair obligations intersect with consumer claims.

He is associated with Florida Consumer Lawyers, where he maintains an office. That affiliation places him among attorneys who litigate on behalf of individuals and homeowners. Over the years he has navigated both negotiations and trials, representing clients in claims that often involve damaged property, warranty disputes and questions about contractor responsibility. He prepares cases for litigation while weighing the practical options for settlement when they serve a client’s interest.

Thalji writes and speaks less publicly than some peers, preferring to focus on case work and client service. He draws on both legal training and contractor experience when assessing damages and structuring remedies. His practice blends litigation strategy, technical evaluation and client counseling. He currently concentrates his practice on consumer protection and construction-related disputes in Florida.
