About Samantha M.
Samantha M. Feak entered legal studies after completing an undergraduate degree in international politics and world affairs at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2013. She earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 2017. That combination of international studies and law has shaped the way she approaches client matters—attentive to detail and sensitive to issues that cross boundaries.
After law school, she became licensed to practice in both California and Wisconsin. She has worked in settings that require adapting to different state rules and expectations. That dual admission has informed how she manages cases that involve parties or legal questions in more than one jurisdiction.
Her academic background in international politics contributes to an analytical approach. It also informs how she looks for connections between policy, regulation and client needs. In day-to-day practice she draws on legal research and written advocacy skills developed during her time at Marquette. Colleagues describe her work as thorough and practical; she favors clear explanations over legalese when advising clients.
Feak’s professional experience covers the basic building blocks of legal practice. She has handled document drafting and review, client counseling, and negotiated agreements. She has also been involved in litigation-related tasks when matters progressed toward trial or settlement. Her practice has required juggling deadlines, coordinating with experts and opposing counsel, and tailoring strategies to fit the procedural landscape of each state where she is admitted.
She maintains professional ties in both California and Wisconsin. That positioning allows her to assist clients who face state-specific issues as well as matters that traverse state lines. Her approach tends toward pragmatic problem solving: identify the immediate legal questions, map the options, and pursue a course that aligns with the client’s objectives.
Outside of billable work, she values continuing legal education and staying current on changes in state law that affect her clients. She keeps an eye on developments that may alter risk assessment or case strategy, and adjusts her work accordingly. She currently practices law in California and Wisconsin, representing clients on matters that arise in those jurisdictions.
