About Samantha K.

Samantha K. Sledd earned her law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2011 after completing a bachelor’s degree in political science at Elon University in 2008. She arrived in the legal world with classroom training in evidence, procedure and advocacy, the building blocks that she has applied in her practice.

She is listed as a lawyer at Hall & Sethi, PLC, where she works on matters that arise in the Washington, D.C., and Virginia legal systems. She is admitted to practice in both the District of Columbia and Virginia. Those dual admissions shape the cases she takes and how she approaches jurisdictional questions that cross state and federal lines.

Her professional life extends beyond the office. She holds memberships in the National LGBT Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Within Virginia she is active in the Virginia Bar Association and is part of the Fairfax Bar Association. She also serves on the Young Trial Lawyers Leadership Committee of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, a role that places her in a network of early-career litigators and offers opportunities for courtroom-focused training and committee work.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing for hearings and practical when advising clients. In committee settings she contributes to discussions about trial practice and professional development. She attends continuing legal education and association events to stay current on procedural and substantive changes that affect litigation in her admitted jurisdictions.

Her education and association work reflect a lawyer who combines formal training with ongoing professional engagement. She balances courtroom preparation, client communication and association responsibilities during a typical workweek. That balance shapes how she allocates time between research, motions and client consultations.

Outside of formal memberships she participates in local bar events in Fairfax and the broader Virginia bar community. Those activities provide informal mentoring opportunities and keep her connected to developments in trial advocacy and civil procedure.

She currently practices at Hall & Sethi, PLC, representing clients and handling matters in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
