About Charity R.

Charity R. McKenzie earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma in 2002 and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law in 2008. Those two institutions anchored her academic formation on different regional perspectives—Midwest and Mid-Atlantic—and set the stage for a legal career that spans more than a decade and a half.

After law school, McKenzie moved into the practice of law. She built experience handling client matters, performing legal research, drafting pleadings and agreements, and appearing in hearings. Her training at George Mason left a visible imprint on her approach: an emphasis on clear statutory interpretation and careful attention to procedural detail.

Colleagues describe her work as pragmatic. She tends to break complex problems into manageable pieces and then focus on what is needed to advance a client's position. She writes plainly. She listens closely. Those habits shape how she prepares for motions and how she frames arguments in client meetings.

Her education also influences how she advises clients about risk. A liberal arts background from the University of Oklahoma gave her a broad context for legal questions. Her law school years refined that perspective into tactical choices in negotiation and litigation. Together, those elements inform a methodical practice style that balances immediate client needs with longer-term consequences.

Over the years McKenzie has handled a range of matters that called for both advocacy and counseling. She has moved between drafting detailed legal documents and arguing discrete issues before fact-finders. That versatility has been a practical asset when cases turned on fine points of procedure or contract language.

As of 2026 she remains active in legal practice. Her current practice emphasizes advising and representing clients in legal matters, focusing on clear communication, procedural rigor and practical solutions.
