About Salvatore Joseph

Salvatore Joseph Sicuso built his career from classrooms in Florida to courtrooms across the state. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business and Marketing from the University of Miami in 1988 and a Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 1991. Those early academic years set a steady course toward a long practice in workers' compensation and employment-related matters.

He began his legal work as a law clerk at Adams, Kelley, Kronenberg and Kelly in 1990 and moved into an associate role at the same firm in 1991. In 1996 he joined Miller, Kagan, Rodriguez and Silver, P.A. as an associate. He rose through the ranks there, becoming a non-equity partner in 1998 and an equity partner in 1999. In 2005 he left to found his own firm, Salvatore J. Sicuso, P.A., where he continues to work.

Sicuso’s professional credentials include Board Certification in workers’ compensation law by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization, a certification he held from 2000 through 2020. He also received an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell for the period 2011 to 2016. Those recognitions sit alongside steady courtroom practice and more than three decades of handling claims and appeals in Florida.

He is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and in the federal courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Over the years he has concentrated on the legal issues that arise when workers are injured on the job, representing clients in hearings and litigation across the state’s workers’ compensation system.

Outside the office he has taken visible roles in practitioner organizations. He serves as a director of Florida Workers Advocates since 2013 and has been a director of the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, Inc. since 2000. He has been a trustee of Friends of 440, Inc. since 1991. He is also a member of the Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group (since 2010), the Florida Bar Employment Law Section (since 2005) and the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Section (since 1991).

His practice history and organizational work reflect steady involvement in the contingency, procedural and advocacy questions that define workers’ compensation law in Florida. He maintains an active practice at Salvatore J. Sicuso, P.A., handling workers’ compensation matters and related employment issues.
