About Sally S.
Sally S. Vecchiarelli is a California-licensed attorney who built her practice from education in the Central Valley. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Forensics and Behavioral Science from California State University, Fresno in 2011, then completed her Juris Doctor at San Joaquin College of Law in 2015. Those years shaped her interest in courtroom work and community service.
She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2015 and holds permission to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California. Early in her career she joined local bar groups and criminal law circles. Memberships in the Fresno County Bar Association, Fresno County Criminal Law Section and the Pacific Juvenile Defenders Center reflect her engagement with trial-oriented practice and juvenile matters.
Vecchiarelli serves as lawyer and CEO of Proper Defense Law Corporation. In that role she manages case work and the business side of a solo or small-firm practice. Her professional affiliations extend beyond the courtroom. She has been active in the Fresno legal community through the Fresno County Young Lawyers Association and the Fresno County Women Lawyers, where she has held a board position as Communications Chair. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the State Bar of California.
Community work has been part of her profile since the start. She participated in Leadership Fresno’s 33rd class in 2016–2017 and spent time volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Earlier service included a voting board role with California University Programs for Children. On the local social side, she has been involved with the St. Agnes Women’s Club since 2017.
Peers and clients see her as someone familiar with both courtroom procedure and the demands of running a practice. She represents clients in California state courts and in the federal court for the Eastern District of California. Her calendar includes arraignments, pretrial hearings and trials, as well as consultations and case strategy sessions.
Her practice is anchored in Fresno and the Central Valley, where she combines courtroom work, bar service and community involvement. She currently practices as lawyer and CEO at Proper Defense Law Corporation, representing clients in state and federal courts in California.
