About Ryan
Ryan Paulus earned his law degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2007 after beginning his studies there in 2004. He also holds a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the same university. Those academic credentials sit alongside a career that moves between private practice and public-minded service.
Shortly after completing law school, Paulus took on a leadership role in private practice. In 2007 he served as managing member of Paulus Law Office L.L.C., where he handled day-to-day operation of the firm and client matters. That early experience running a small firm shaped how he allocates resources and manages cases.
In 2013 he joined Hollingshead, Paulus, Eccher & Fry as a partner. The move expanded his caseload and placed him in a multi-attorney setting where case preparation, coordination and courtroom work were regular parts of the routine. Four years later he left that partnership and established a new practice role. In 2017 he became principal of Cornerstone Law Office and has led the firm since then.
Paulus is licensed in both Kansas and Missouri and is admitted to practice before the Eighth and Tenth U.S. Courts of Appeals. Those admissions reflect work in both state and federal matters and enable him to pursue cases across circuit lines when necessary. He also maintains professional and community ties beyond the courtroom. He serves as an engineer officer in the Missouri Army National Guard and is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Since 2013 he has held membership in the National Employment Lawyers Association.
Colleagues and clients encounter an attorney who balances practice management with active outside commitments. He has combined formal training in dispute resolution with hands-on courtroom experience and military service. He currently maintains his practice at Cornerstone Law Office and concentrates on dispute resolution and matters in state and federal courts.
