About Ryan P.
Ryan P. Kelly took a conventional path into the law, completing his undergraduate degree at Southern Connecticut State University in 2014 and earning a J.D. from Pace Law School in 2017. Those years shaped his early approach to legal work. He split time between classroom study and practical placements, testing the fit of different legal environments before entering practice.
During law school he pursued a string of internships that exposed him to corporate departments and international practices. In 2015 he worked at Konrad & Partners Rechtsanwaelte, an experience that gave him early exposure to cross-border matters and the rhythms of a firm outside the United States. In 2016 he held corporate legal internships at Beiersdorf and LG Electronics, assignments that involved company-side legal tasks and internal compliance work. Those positions offered a contrast to the private-firm settings he would later join.
After graduating he moved into roles that mixed research and traditional firm practice. In 2017 he served as a research associate at Maya Murphy, P.C., where he handled legal research and supported litigation preparation. The following year he joined Owens, Schine & Nicola, PC as a lawyer. At that firm he worked on client matters typical of a small to mid-size practice, gaining courtroom and transactional exposure. The sequence of roles shows a transition from internship learning to substantive professional responsibility.
Kelly is admitted to practice in Connecticut. His résumé reflects work in corporate legal departments and in private practice. The corporate internships suggest familiarity with contract review, corporate policies, and internal risk assessment. His research associate role and subsequent firm position indicate experience supporting litigation, drafting, and client counseling. He has alternated between the inward-facing work of company legal teams and the outward-facing duties of a firm lawyer, which has given him a broad practical perspective.
Today he practices in Connecticut. He continues to handle matters that arise in both corporate and firm contexts, applying the procedural and substantive grounding he developed at Pace Law School and through his internships and early roles. He remains active in the Connecticut bar and in the legal work he undertakes in the state.
