About Ryan

Ryan Keating earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2010. He came to the practice of law after a rigorous legal education in Washington, D.C., and has since built a practice that spans several Mid-Atlantic jurisdictions. His academic background provided grounding in litigation, statutory analysis and courtroom procedure.

Early in his career Keating served as a law clerk to the Honorable M. Jane Brady on the Superior Court of the State of Delaware. The clerkship placed him at the center of state trial court work, where he supported judicial decision-making, prepared legal research and assisted in drafting opinions. That experience gave him a close view of courtroom mechanics and state-court litigation practices.

Keating is admitted to practice in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware. He regularly appears in matters that require navigation of state rules and local procedures. Colleagues note his familiarity with the practical steps required to move cases through state systems across the three jurisdictions where he is licensed.

He is an attorney at Morris James LLP. At the firm he applies the procedural knowledge he gained during his clerkship to client matters that intersect Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania law. His work often involves case preparation, courtroom filings and coordination with counsel across state lines. He has handled matters that require careful attention to court rules and an understanding of how state courts operate day to day.

Keating maintains current professional memberships that connect him to peers and local bar activities. He has kept ties to the Delaware legal community stemming from his time on the Superior Court and continues to work with practitioners in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Practical, steady and methodical, Keating brings courtroom experience to his work at Morris James LLP. He currently practices at Morris James LLP, where his work centers on matters in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
