About Ryan Henry
Ryan Henry Ripp studied law and politics on two campuses before opening his own practice. He earned a J.D. from Willamette University College of Law in 2020, where coursework included startup law and employment law. Earlier, he completed a B.S. in political science and legal studies at Western Oregon University in 2017 after beginning his undergraduate work in 2013.
After law school he began practicing in Oregon and joined the Oregon State Bar. His training at Willamette included practical classes and clinics that informed the kind of work he would take on in private practice. The combination of political science and legal studies gave him a practical view of how businesses and regulations intersect.
He works primarily with business owners and employers. His matters commonly involve entity formation, contract drafting and review, and employer-employee issues. He advises emerging companies on governance and on the legal steps involved in getting a venture off the ground. He also assists established small businesses that need clearer policies or tighter commercial agreements.
Ripp’s practice leans toward transactional work and preventive counseling rather than litigation. He prepares agreements, helps structure startup and investor relationships, and assists clients in setting employment policies that reflect current Oregon rules. The work requires clear documents and an eye for potential compliance issues. That emphasis on prevention helps many clients avoid disputes before they start.
He maintains membership in the Oregon State Bar and practices under the name RHR Business Law, LLC. His public profile centers on practical legal support for local businesses instead of courtroom advocacy. He keeps up with developments in state employment law and changes affecting small-company governance.
Colleagues describe him as straightforward and businesslike in meetings, preferring direct advice and plain language in documents. Clients receive counsel on practical steps to organize operations and on basic risk management for staff and contracts. He currently practices through RHR Business Law, LLC, handling business, startup and employment matters in Oregon.
