About Ryan D.
Ryan D. Ledebur built his path to law starting at Houghton College, where he earned a B.A. in political science in 2009. He went on to complete his J.D. at SUNY Buffalo Law School in 2014. Those years shaped his interest in public-service law and the kinds of legal problems that affect older adults and their families.
After law school he entered practice and by 2016 was listed as a lawyer at Lipsitz, Ponterio & Comerford, LLC. That early experience placed him in a firm setting where he handled client matters and learned the practical demands of litigation and client counseling. He has maintained ties to the legal community in Erie County and beyond through his bar association membership.
Ledebur has taken on roles beyond client files. He serves as vice president on the board of directors of the Center for Elder Law and Justice. In that capacity he participates in board governance and helps guide the organization’s work on legal needs affecting older adults. His board work keeps him connected to community providers, advocates, and the legal services network that supports vulnerable populations.
He is also a member of the Erie County Bar Association, where he stays engaged with colleagues and local developments in practice and procedure. That involvement supports a steady exchange of ideas and helps inform how he approaches problems in court and at the negotiation table.
Ledebur’s practice experience and nonprofit leadership converge around legal issues that touch aging communities. He has worked on matters that involve access to legal help for older adults and the systems that affect them. Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who moves between casework and organizational responsibility without losing sight of day-to-day client needs.
He maintains his license to practice in New York and remains active in local legal circles. In his current practice he concentrates on legal matters affecting older adults and on the organizational work that supports access to those services.
