About Ryan Alexander
Ryan Alexander Semerad earned his undergraduate degree in English and Philosophy from Union College in 2009 and completed his J.D. at Ohio State University in 2016. He arrived in the practice of law after a steady academic track that combined liberal arts training with three years of law school study in Columbus.
His early professional years moved quickly. He began as an associate at Jones Day in 2016. The following year he served as a law clerk to The Honorable Michael P. Gibbons at the Nevada Court of Appeals. That clerkship gave him firsthand exposure to appellate procedure and judicial decision-making.
In 2018 he joined Holland & Hart LLP as a commercial litigation and appeals associate. There he handled a mix of briefing and courtroom work on business disputes. The role broadened his experience in complex civil litigation and appellate practice across multiple jurisdictions.
By 2020 he shifted into trial practice and formed The Fuller & Semerad Law Office. The move marked a return to hands-on courtroom work. He has since taken on trials and contested hearings, applying the appellate perspective he gained on the bench to cases in trial courts.
Semerad is admitted to practice in Nevada, Wyoming and Ohio. That geographic spread has shaped the kinds of matters he handles and the procedural environments in which he appears. His background spans commercial litigation, appellate briefing, and trial advocacy. Colleagues describe him as methodical and exacting; clients have relied on his experience in both trial and appeal settings.
He maintains an active practice through The Fuller & Semerad Law Office and is affiliated with Donald L. Fuller, Lawyer at Law, LLC in connection with his office operations. He continues to take cases that require trial advocacy and appellate work in the jurisdictions where he is licensed. He now practices at The Fuller & Semerad Law Office, handling trial matters and commercial litigation and appeals in Nevada, Wyoming and Ohio.
