About Ross M.

Ross M. Gilders attended Central Michigan University before earning his J.D. at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He built his legal foundation in those classrooms and clinics, then moved into practice in Michigan courts and beyond. His training at Detroit Mercy is the basis for his courtroom work today.

He began his recorded legal career at Skupin & Lucas in 2012, listed as a lawyer on firm materials. That early period exposed him to the day-to-day demands of client work and courtroom preparation. In 2019 he is listed as a lawyer with MichiganLawsuit.com, P.C., where his role continued on into the current decade. The move marked a transition to a firm that identifies itself by its consumer-facing name and litigation practice.

Gilders is licensed to practice in Michigan and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Those admissions allow him to represent clients in state trial courts and to pursue appeals in federal circuit court. He has worked on matters that required filings at both levels, which shapes how he prepares cases from the outset.

Professional associations feature in his résumé. Records show memberships beginning in 2016 in groups that include the Michigan Association For Justice, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Oakland County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He also is listed as a member of the American Civil Liberties Union and the Sierra Club, organizations outside bar groups that suggest civic interests alongside legal work.

Colleagues and clients describe his practice as grounded in courtroom procedure and case management. He spends much of his time drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions. He approaches hearings with an emphasis on preparation and on presenting factual records clearly to judges and juries. He applies the same method when shifting cases to appellate briefs in the Sixth Circuit.

Today Gilders practices through MichiganLawsuit.com, P.C., where his work remains centered on litigation matters in Michigan and in federal appeals within the Sixth Circuit. He practices in Michigan and the U.S. Sixth Circuit, handling litigation matters through MichiganLawsuit.com, P.C.
