About Ross Evan
Ross Evan Pitcoff earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2010. He finished law school at a time when the legal market was shifting. The classroom at Fordham gave him a foundation in practical writing and courtroom procedure. Those early lessons helped shape how he approached cases in the years that followed.
After law school he began practicing in New York. He built experience handling cases and advising clients across the state. Over time he moved from associate roles into positions that required more responsibility for strategy and client management. The record shows a steady progression toward running his own shop rather than toward a career inside a large institution.
In 2018 he established Pitcoff Law Group, PC and took on the role of owner. Running a small firm has meant wearing many hats. He manages administrative duties, supervises support staff, and remains involved in legal work. Since founding the firm he has handled the business side of legal practice as well as casework, and has overseen matters filed in New York courts.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic and detail-oriented. He tends to favor careful preparation. In court papers and negotiations he aims for clarity over flourish. That approach extends to client communication. At the firm he sets expectations early and keeps clients informed as matters develop. The practice operates on a model that blends hands-on legal work with day-to-day management of the office.
Outside the office he has kept ties to the local legal community. He attends events and maintains professional relationships across the city. Those connections have helped him keep pace with procedural changes and the evolving demands of New York practice. Today his schedule mixes court appearances, client conferences, and firm administration. His practice focuses on matters arising in New York state and federal courts.
