About Romy N.

Romy N. Elswerky earned her law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2014 after completing a bachelor’s degree in political science at Indiana University in 2011. Her time in Indianapolis overlapped with a string of practical legal experiences. She left school with courtroom exposure and a range of internships that shaped the early years of her career.

Her practical training began while she was still a student. In 2012 she worked as a student representative for Thomson Reuters Westlaw and served as a legal intern with the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office. In 2013 she took on multiple roles: judicial clerk at Beech Grove City Court, legal intern at Marion County Superior Courthouse, corporate counsel intern at Parkview Health and a housing department internship with the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic. In 2014 she was a certified legal intern at the Marion County Public Defender Agency. These positions gave her experience in both public and private legal settings and contact with criminal, administrative and housing-related matters.

Elswerky moved into practitioner roles soon after earning her J.D. Her first recorded position after graduation was at Gibson Law Office in 2014. She later joined Bowen & Associates, LLC in 2016. After several years in practice she took a position at McNeelyLaw LLP in 2021. Since 2022 she has been listed as a lawyer at Banks & Brower, LLC. The sequence of roles suggests a steady progression through small and regional firms, coupled with a continuing presence in Indiana’s legal community.

She holds membership in the Tippecanoe County Bar Association. That affiliation places her in a network of Indiana practitioners and reflects ongoing involvement in local bar activities. Her mix of clerkships, public defender internship work and private firm positions points to an attorney comfortable handling courtroom procedure, client representation and the administrative work that supports litigation.

Colleagues and clients would recognize a background that includes clerkship duties and hands-on internships during her legal education, followed by several years of practice in Indiana firms. Her record shows movement among local offices and steady professional engagement. She is currently a lawyer at Banks & Brower, LLC and practices law in Indiana.
