About Robin S.
Robin S. Sorkin built a legal foundation in two very different parts of the country. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University in 1978 after beginning her studies in 1974. She then turned to the law, completing her Juris Doctor at Nova Southeastern University in 1982 following studies that began in 1979.
Her first post-graduate position was in public service. In 1983 she joined the Broward County Public Defender’s Office as an assistant public defender. That role put her in courtrooms early in her career and gave her regular exposure to trial work, client interviews and case preparation.
By 1991 she was working at John R. Sorkin PA, listed as a lawyer on the firm’s roster. Records show a subsequent association in 2010 with MGRM. Over the years she has practiced under the Sorkin name, and the office listed for her is Sorkin and Sorkin PL.
Sorkin is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and Florida. Her background in a busy public defender’s office helped shape the practical side of her legal work. Those years involved handling contested matters, moving cases through local dockets and counseling clients under pressure.
