About Robin
Robin Kirkham built a varied academic foundation before entering the law. She earned a B.A. from Brigham Young University in 2001, majoring in theatre arts and minoring in English. She returned to BYU for law school and received a J.D. in 2004.
Her first recorded legal position came in 2004 when she joined the Twin Falls Public Defender’s Office as a deputy public defender. That early work placed her in an office representing people who could not afford private counsel. The experience exposed her to courtroom procedure and the pressures of public defense work.
A decade later she moved into private practice. In 2016 she established Robin Kirkham Law, LLC and began operating as a solo practitioner. That same year she also taught as a general education instructor at Fortis College in Salt Lake City. The combination of running a small practice and teaching gave her a steady blend of courtroom work and classroom routine.
Kirkham maintains professional connections within the defense bar. She has been a member of the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2016. She is also court-rostered in Utah as a basic mediator after completing the Basic Mediation certification through Utah Dispute Resolution. Those credentials allow her to serve both as an advocate and as a neutral facilitator in certain matters.
She is licensed to practice in Utah and Idaho. That dual jurisdiction allows her to take on matters that cross state lines or require familiarity with both legal systems. Her background includes public defense and private representation over the course of more than a decade in practice.
Clients and colleagues describe her approach as pragmatic. She handles case preparation, courtroom appearances and negotiation when appropriate. The practice size gives her direct involvement in most matters that come through the office.
Today she continues to operate Robin Kirkham Law, LLC, representing clients in criminal defense matters and offering court-rostered mediation services in the region. Her current practice concentrates on criminal defense and mediation work.
