About Robert W. Brown
Robert W. Brown II built a law practice shaped by two parallel careers: military service and civilian litigation. He began his professional training at the University of Georgia, where he completed both a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Behavior and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1996. He then earned his J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2001, and later completed officer legal training at The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School in 2004.
Brown entered uniformed service early. He joined the Georgia Army National Guard in 1998 and served as a soldier before moving into legal roles. By 2009 he was serving as a judge advocate with the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Those years in the Guard and in JAG work run alongside his civilian legal career and have informed how he approaches cases and clients.
His civilian legal work began in Marietta, where he practiced at a large law office upon graduating law school. In 2007 he took on a role at The Brown Law Officei, LLC. He also accepted positions beyond daily casework. In 2008 he joined the board of the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals, reflecting an interest in the intersection of health care, insurance and settlement planning.
Colleagues describe Brown’s path as steady rather than flashy. He moved from staff attorney positions to running his own practice. The mix of JAG experience and service on a Medicare set-aside organization gives him familiarity with military benefits, disability and health-related aspects of civil claims. He has worked on matters that call for attention to medical records, insurance liens and regulatory detail.
Throughout his career he has kept ties to Georgia law and the state’s legal community. He is licensed to practice in Georgia and continues to base his work there. His offices include a main office and a Northeast Georgia location, where he meets clients and handles court work.
Now in practice, Brown balances civilian litigation and administrative issues that touch on health care and benefits. He is active in handling matters that involve military-service questions, workers’ compensation and Medicare set-aside arrangements, and he maintains his practice at The Brown Law Officei, LLC, serving clients across Georgia.
