About Robert W.
Robert W. Bilbrey graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law in 1996. He remained connected to the law school after graduation, working in the Domestic Violence Clinic in 1999. That early work gave him practical courtroom exposure and contact with client advocacy at a grass-roots level.
He spent the first years of his post-law school career gaining courtroom and office experience. In 1999 he served as a law clerk at Suddarth & Koor. The following year he joined Thurman, Howald, Weber, Senkel & Norrick L.L.C., where he worked as an associate and later as a partner. Those roles put him on a path from staff attorney to firm leadership and provided experience in firm operations as well as casework.
Bilbrey’s professional associations have been a steady part of his career. He became a member of the Missouri Bar in 1999 and joined the American Bar Association in 2002. He has been active in the Jefferson County Bar Association since at least 2008 and has served as its Secretary/Treasurer since that year. That position has kept him involved in local bar governance and the administration of member services.
In 2013 he established his own practice, opening the Law Offices of Robert W. Bilbrey. Running a solo firm required shifting responsibilities again — balancing client representation with managing a business. Over time his office developed relationships in the local legal community and a steady client base. He has continued to participate in bar activities while operating his practice.
Colleagues and county peers know him for steady participation in bar work and for a pragmatic approach to handling matters. He has combined courtroom experience from his early clerkship and clinic work with the responsibilities of partnership at a regional firm. That mix shaped the way he approaches client files and office management.
He currently practices from the Law Offices of Robert W. Bilbrey and handles a range of legal matters for clients in Jefferson County and the surrounding area.
