About Robert
Robert Travieso built a career that moves from finance to the courtroom. He earned a B.S. from Florida State University in 2006 and completed his J.D. at The George Washington University Law School in 2013.
After college, Travieso spent several years as a financial analyst at Standard & Poor's. He handled data and modeling work there before shifting gears toward law. That change led him to Miami-Dade, where he began his legal career in 2013 as an assistant state lawyer. The early courtroom experience shaped his approach to casework and courtroom procedure.
Following his time in public service, Travieso worked in private practice. He joined Falk, Waas, Hernandez, Solomon, Mendlestein & Davis, P.A. as an associate in 2018. The next year he moved to Hall Booth Smith, P.C., where he continued as an associate. Those roles exposed him to a variety of civil matters and the operations of larger law firms.
In 2021 he opened his own firm, Travieso Law Office, P.A. Running a small firm returned him to a more hands-on mode of practice. He manages case intake, client counseling and courtroom preparation, and handles administrative responsibilities as owner.
Travieso has been active in local and statewide legal organizations. He has been a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association since 2019 and took on leadership as chair of its Solo and Small Firm Committee beginning in 2021. He also serves as a director of the Jacksonville Justice Association, a post he assumed in 2022, and holds membership in the Florida Justice Association. Earlier in his career he belonged to the Cuban American Bar Association from 2017 to 2019. His academic honors include membership in Phi Kappa Phi.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing files and practical at the bargaining table. He favors clear explanations for clients and an orderly presentation in court. He maintains ties to Jacksonville’s legal community through committee work and association leadership.
Travieso lives and works in Florida and runs his practice locally. His current practice focuses on representing clients in Florida through his firm, Travieso Law Office, P.A.
