About Robert S

Robert S Reiff began his legal training at Boston University School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1983. He entered the bar at a time when courtrooms were shifting in procedure and media scrutiny was growing. That early legal education provided a foundation for work that would span trial practice and appellate matters.

His first post out of law school was as an Assistant State Lawyer in the Miami-Dade State Lawyer's Office in 1983. The role put him inside the prosecutorial system and gave him early trial exposure. Those years in the state attorney’s office offered front-line courtroom experience handling criminal matters and working with investigators, victims, and fellow prosecutors.

After his time as an assistant state lawyer, Reiff moved into criminal defense. He is admitted to practice in Florida and New York, and he is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. His standing before state and federal tribunals reflects a career that has balanced trial work and appellate practice.

Reiff holds board certification from the Florida Bar as a Criminal Trial Lawyer. That certification marks a formal recognition within the state bar of expertise in criminal trial practice. He has also maintained active memberships in several professional organizations. These include the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and its Miami chapter, and the National College for DUI Defense. Those memberships indicate continued contact with peers who specialize in criminal defense and DUI litigation.

Colleagues and peers have encountered Reiff in both courtroom settings and professional forums. He has appeared in trials and argued matters in higher courts, drawing on his background in the prosecutor’s office and later defense work. His legal work spans typical criminal defense matters and cases that require tactical trial preparation and courtroom presence.

Reiff keeps offices in South Florida, maintaining a Miami office and a Broward County office. From those locations he handles matters that arise in Florida state courts and files appeals when cases move to federal review. His practice blends trial representation and appellate strategy.

He currently handles criminal defense and trial litigation, operating from his Miami and Broward County offices where he represents clients in state and federal matters.
