About Robert
Robert Lopez earned his B.A. from the University of Southern California in 1993 and returned to USC for his J.D., which he completed at the Gould School of Law in 1999. He entered the profession at the turn of the century after finishing law school. Those formative years set the foundation for a career split between private practice and matters related to property and transactional work.
Early in his career he established a small practice under his own name. He served as the managing lawyer at the Law Office of Robert Lopez beginning in 2003. There he handled client matters, supervised support staff and directed the office’s daily operations. The role gave him hands-on experience in running a law practice and handling a range of client needs.
In 2018 he took on the role of managing lawyer at Source Law Office. The position expanded his administrative duties and placed him in a firm setting where he could combine litigation and transactional work. At Source Law Office he continued to supervise legal teams and manage case strategy while remaining involved in client representation.
Lopez is licensed to practice law in California and is admitted to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has maintained membership in the Orange County Bar Association since 2016. In addition to his legal credentials, he holds a California real estate broker license issued by the California Department of Real Estate. That credential informs parts of his practice that intersect with real property transactions and related disputes.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in his approach to problem solving. He balances courtroom preparation with transactional care. He has managed a practice portfolio that includes real estate matters, and he brings that broker’s perspective to negotiations and closings.
