Robert Kern Maize Jr. is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California in 1976. He holds and is currently in active status. Mr. Maize is the president of Maize Law Corporation, a law firm located at 3755 Brickway Blvd., Suite 200, Santa Rosa, CA 95403. He has been practicing law for over 50 years, serving clients throughout Sonoma County and the surrounding areas.
Mr. Maize earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, in 1976. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Menlo College, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1970. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1983. During his time at law school, he continued his interest in photography, including working in the darkroom.
Mr. Maize specializes in estate planning, taxation, probate, trusts and estates, wills and probate, and trusts. He represents individuals and families in matters involving the creation of wills and trusts, estate administration, and tax planning. His practice encompasses all stages of legal proceedings, including initial consultations, document preparation, negotiations, and court proceedings related to estate and trust matters.
Throughout his career, Mr. Maize has handled cases in various courts, including the Superior Court of California for the County of Sonoma. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size law firm in Santa Rosa for several years.
Mr. Maize is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He is also a certified Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Law Specialist, a certification granted by the California State Bar's Board of Legal Specialization in 1991. He is fluent in English and has been recognized for his contributions to the field of estate planning and probate law.
