About Robert

Robert Goldberg earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 2018. He completed a three-year legal education in Los Angeles before returning to practice in the Midwest and on the West Coast. The degree set the groundwork for a career that spans two state systems and several areas of practice.

After law school, Goldberg entered private practice and eventually assumed an Of Counsel role at the Law Offices of Goldberg & Goldberg. In that capacity he advises clients and supports the firm’s attorneys on matters that require cross-jurisdictional attention. His role blends consultation, brief preparation, and courtroom support when cases push into contested proceedings.

Goldberg is admitted to practice in both Illinois and California. He holds current memberships in the Illinois Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the California Bar Association. Those memberships reflect ongoing ties to legal communities in Chicago and California and a practice that draws on experience from both states.

Colleagues describe his approach as practical and detail-oriented. He often assists on matters that require careful statutory analysis and procedural work. He has worked on filings, motions, and client counseling that connect local practice norms to the procedural rules of each jurisdiction. Goldberg’s experience at a regional firm has exposed him to a range of civil matters and the logistics of handling cases that cross state lines.

Outside the courthouse, Goldberg has participated in bar activities and local legal events tied to his associations. He maintains a presence in bar programs in both Illinois and California and has engaged with continuing legal education opportunities. Those activities keep him current on changes in state law and court procedure.

At the Law Offices of Goldberg & Goldberg, Goldberg serves as Of Counsel to the firm’s attorneys and clients. He splits time between case work and advisory responsibilities. He represents clients in matters that arise under both Illinois and California law and focuses his practice on issues spanning those jurisdictions.
