Robert F — Davis is a partner at Singleton, Davis & Singleton PLLC in Mount Kisco, New York. He has been practicing law in New York since 1980. He graduated cum laude from Pace University School of Law with his Juris Doctor in 1979. His practice focuses on zoning and real property law, civil litigation, and appeals. He has experience in obtaining subdivision and site plan approvals, special permits, and variances in Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties. His litigation practice covers real property and land use matters, contract disputes, business and construction disputes, landlord/tenant issues, adjoining property disputes, and foreclosures. Before joining Singleton, Davis & Singleton in 2012, Mr. Davis was a named partner in a prominent Mount Kisco law firm for over 25 years. He has served as counsel to co-ops and condominiums, a public housing authority, a Section 8 housing complex, and an operator of fitness clubs.
He has also served as special zoning counsel to the Town of Eastchester. Mr. Davis is a member of the New York State Bar Association, serving in the Real Property, Environmental. Municipal Law Sections, and the Westchester and Northern Westchester Bar Associations. He has been recognized with Martindale-Hubbell’s highest “AV” peer review ranking and was named a 2015 New York “Top Ranking Lawyer” in Land Use and Zoning Law in the National and American Law Journals. Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Davis has been a long-time member of the Board of Directors and sponsor for both the Food Bank for Westchester and the Westchester Institute for Training in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.
He has also served as a member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund and the American Arbitration Association’s Construction and Mediation Panels. He is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association’s Grievance and Lawyer Referral Panels and the 9th Judicial District’s Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Resolution Panel. A lifelong Westchester resident, Mr. Davis grew up in Peekskill and has lived in Somers for the past 25 years. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his dogs and cats, biking, gardening, and weightlifting. He is currently learning to play the piano and is known for his cooking skills. He is a diehard Mets and Jets fan.
