About Robert
Robert Clofine trained for law in Pennsylvania. He earned a B.A. in political science from Villanova University in 1978 and completed his J.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1979. Those years set the groundwork for a career centered on legal issues that commonly affect older adults and their families.
He opened his own practice in 1985, founding the Elder Law Office of Robert Clofine. For more than four decades he has operated that office in Pennsylvania. He is a current member of the Pennsylvania State Bar and practices under the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth.
Clofine is certified as an Elder Law Lawyer by the National Elder Law Foundation. That credential signals a specialized credentialing process recognized within elder law circles. Over time his work has addressed the intersection of aging, finances, and legal planning.
Clients have sought his help on matters that arise as people age and face long-term care decisions. He advises older adults and their families on legal issues affecting aging, long-term care, and estate concerns. His practice emphasizes practical solutions and paperwork that must be in place when health or capacity changes.
Beyond client files, Clofine has maintained a steady private practice rather than moving into a large-firm environment or a government post. Running a small office has allowed him to manage the range of tasks common in elder law practice, from counseling and document preparation to advocacy for public benefits where necessary.
He remains active in the professional community through the state bar. That involvement keeps him connected to developments in Pennsylvania law that affect older residents, state benefit programs, and rules governing estate and incapacity planning.
After more than forty years in practice, Clofine continues to operate the Elder Law Office of Robert Clofine in Pennsylvania. He currently practices elder law at the Elder Law Office of Robert Clofine.
