About Robert

Robert Banas built his legal foundation at The College of New Jersey, where he earned a B.S., and at Rutgers School of Law–Camden, where he received his J.D. His academic path placed him firmly in the New Jersey legal community and prepared him for work in both state and federal courts.

Early in his career he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Anthony M. Massi, J.S.C., at the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division. That position exposed him to the inner workings of civil litigation at the trial-court level and to the practical demands of judicial decision-making.

After the clerkship he moved into private practice. He is a member of the team at Eichen Crutchlow Zaslow, LLP, where he has handled matters for clients across a range of civil legal needs. His time at the firm has been spent on case work, client counseling and courtroom matters handled by the firm.

Banas is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and he is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Those admissions allow him to represent clients in state trial courts, federal appellate proceedings and matters that cross state lines. He has navigated filings and hearings in multiple jurisdictions as part of that work.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and steady in litigation settings. He draws on the perspective gained at the bench and in private practice when evaluating cases. His approach favors clear writing and careful factual development.

Outside of courtroom work he has contributed to firm matters that require coordination across offices and practice areas. He maintains professional affiliations and participates in the legal community in ways that support his work at the firm.

He is based at Eichen Crutchlow Zaslow, LLP and continues to represent clients in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His current practice focuses on representing clients in matters across those jurisdictions.
