About Riley

Riley Perry earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2012 and completed a J.D. at Hofstra University in 2015. Those academic years set the path to a legal career centered in New York. Perry's education combined a liberal arts undergraduate program with three years of professional legal training, preparing her for work in state courts and family law practice.

After law school, Perry established ties in the New York legal community. She has held memberships in the New York City Bar Association since 2014 and joined the Suffolk County Bar Association in 2016. She is also a member of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association and serves on the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Family Court Committee, where she has participated in committee meetings and local bar activities since 2016. Perry is a member of the American Bar Association as well, reflecting an engagement with national professional conversations alongside her local work.

Perry’s practice centers on family law. She represents clients in divorce proceedings, custody and visitation disputes, child and spousal support matters, and related family court applications. Her work includes preparing petitions and responses, arguing motions in family court and state Supreme Court, and negotiating settlements. Perry handles both contested hearings and settlement conferences, and she assists clients through the procedural steps that family law cases commonly require.

Perry’s courtroom work is paired with client-facing case management. She prepares financial disclosures, drafts parenting plans, and participates in alternative dispute resolution when circumstances allow. Her colleagues note that she manages the administrative and evidentiary details of cases while guiding clients through timelines and hearing schedules. Perry has built a practice that engages with both the legal and human elements of family law matters.

Outside of individual cases, Perry’s bar association activity has kept her connected to changes in family law practice and local procedural trends. Participation in the Family Court Committee and the Matrimonial Bar Association has given her regular exposure to local rules, bench practices, and continuing legal education aimed at family practitioners.

Perry is admitted to practice in New York and works in Suffolk County and nearby state courts. She maintains an active presence in local legal organizations and practices family law in New York, focusing her current work on divorce, custody, support, and family court proceedings.
