About Rick
Rick Piereck earned his law degree from American University, receiving a J.D. in 2012 after completing his studies there. He previously completed undergraduate work at Florida International University, where he earned a B.A. in Public Administration in 2007. Those academic credentials set the stage for a legal career centered in Maryland.
Soon after completing law school, Piereck entered the Maryland legal community. He joined the Maryland State Bar in 2014. That same period saw him begin participation in the Calvert County Bar Association. He took on increasingly visible roles in local bar work, including a seat on the Calvert County Bar Association’s board of directors in 2016.
Piereck’s association memberships trace a steady engagement with professional groups across the state. He has been listed with the Maryland Criminal Defense Lawyers Association since 2018. He also spent time as a member of the Maryland State s Lawyers Association between 2014 and 2018. Since 2019 he has volunteered with Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, offering legal help through that organization.
Those affiliations suggest a lawyer who values both professional development and public service. His board role in Calvert County reflected an interest in local legal institutions and their governance. His volunteer work indicates ongoing participation in pro bono efforts aimed at increasing access to legal services.
Piereck operates his practice through Piereck Lw, LLC. He is licensed to practice in Maryland and continues to maintain ties to county and state bar groups. Colleagues and clients encounter a practitioner who combines courtroom-oriented association membership with local bar leadership and volunteer work.
Today Piereck practices law in Maryland through Piereck Lw, LLC, where his work includes criminal defense and matters related to that area of practice.
