About Richard Sanvenero
Richard Sanvenero Jr. trained on the East Coast. He graduated from Rutgers University in 2010 and earned his J.D. from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2013. Those years set the stage for a career that has moved between courtrooms and private practice.
Early in his legal education he worked inside the state court system. In 2011 and 2012 he served as a legal intern in the Family Part of the Superior Court of New Jersey, working in the Essex and Monmouth vicinages. After law school he returned to the Family Part as a law clerk in 2015 for the Honorable Christopher D. Rafano, J.S.C., Middlesex Vicinage. That hands-on exposure to family court procedures and motion practice gave him regular experience with written opinions and courtroom calendars.
He entered private practice the following year. In 2016 he joined Fox & Melofchik, LLC as an associate. Two years later he became a partner at McGoughran & Sanvenero. In 2022 he helped found Sanvenero & Cittadino, where he serves as a partner. The sequence shows a steady progression from clerkship and associate work to firm leadership.
Sanvenero is licensed in New Jersey, the District of Columbia, and New York, and he holds memberships in a number of bar and professional organizations. Those include the Monmouth County Bar Association, the Middlesex County Bar Association, and the New York City Bar Association. He is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta and lists affiliation with the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Chicago Area.

His time as a judicial clerk exposed him to the mechanics of family court scheduling and orders; that experience continues to inform how he handles filings and hearings in private practice.
