He served as the President of the San Diego Downtown Host Lions Club from 2010 to 2011 and was a member of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees. He also participated in fundraising efforts for organizations such as Hannah’s House and Kids’ Turn. His commitment to community service was further demonstrated through his role as an umpire for the San Carlos Little League and his involvement with the San Diego Referral Exchange. Mr. Renkin was survived by his wife, daughter, son, and two grandchildren.
