About Rebecca M.

Rebecca M. Medina built her legal foundation at California State University, Fresno, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2005 and added a minor in Criminology. She continued her studies at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2008. Those academic years shaped her interest in family law and alternative dispute resolution.

Her early career mixed volunteer service and local bar involvement. She served on the Board of Directors for Central California Legal Services, Inc. from 2011 to 2012. She also chaired the Fresno County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Services Section from 2010 to 2014. Since 2009 she has held a board membership in Fresno County Women Lawyers and been active in the county’s Family Law Section. Those roles kept her close to community needs and pro bono work.

Medina complemented courtroom experience with formal mediation training. She holds a 40-Hour Certificate in Family Law Mediation through Mosten Mediation Training and is a member of the Academy of Professional Family Law Mediators. She belongs to the State Bar of California’s Family Law Section, the Fresno County Young Lawyers Association, and the La Raza Lawyers Association, Central Valley Chapter. She also maintains ties to her law school through the McGeorge Alumni Association and participates in Fresno Leading Young Professionals.

Her practice reflects that blend of litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She handles family law matters and often serves as a mediator in contested and uncontested cases. Clients encounter a lawyer who moves between negotiation tables and court calendars. Her approach favors practical solutions tailored to each family’s circumstances.

Colleagues describe her as engaged in local bar activities and civic-minded projects, rather than as a private practitioner working in isolation. Her years chairing pro bono efforts and serving on nonprofit boards speak to regular involvement in access-to-justice initiatives. She has kept one foot in organized bar work while building a practice that serves clients across the Central and Southern California regions.

Medina operates from The Law Office of Rebecca Medina and maintains presence in both Fresno and San Diego-area offices. She practices in California and offers family law representation as well as trained mediation services. Her current practice centers on family law and family law mediation.
