About Richard David

Richard David Lom earned his law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University after completing a B.A. at the University of the Pacific. He arrived in the profession with classroom training that combined regional legal practice and a broader undergraduate liberal arts background.

He began his career building dual credentials in law and real estate. He has been a licensed real estate broker since 2003 and became a licensed principal broker in 2009, operating under LOM Properties, LLC. That practical experience in commercial real estate preceded and has informed the legal work he pursued after entering the bar.

Federal court admissions followed. He was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the Sixth Circuit in 2019. Records also note an admission in 2020 that remains current. He has held a designee role since 2013, reflecting a continuing involvement in organizational or professional duties beyond routine practice. He is a CCIM member, indicating a background in commercial investment real estate and the analytical skills tied to that credential.

Lom’s path blends transactional and regulatory work. The real estate licenses, combined with the CCIM affiliation, point to a practice that considers property value, finance, and market factors alongside contractual and compliance issues. He has worked on matters that require both brokerage judgment and legal analysis. His dual role as a broker and lawyer gives him a vantage on disputes, closings, and commercial negotiations.

Colleagues and clients see him as someone who moves between the bench of a deal room and the filing cabinet of a law office. He keeps paperwork and property records close. He also keeps federal procedure in mind, given his district and appellate admissions.

He maintains an office under the name Richard David Lom, Lawyer at Law, PLLC. From that base he continues to serve clients in matters that draw on his brokerage background and legal admissions. His day-to-day work combines property transactions, related litigation preparedness, and representation before federal courts where he is admitted. He is currently practicing law and handling matters that involve commercial real estate and federal court work.
