About Richard D. Lamb

Richard D. Lamb III built his legal foundation across three schools. He earned a B.A. from Louisiana State University in 2008, completed a J.D. at Loyola University New Orleans in 2012, and added an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2013. The series of degrees reflects an early interest in deeper study, including postgraduate work that is uncommon among many practitioners.

He began publishing and editing almost as soon as he left law school. In 2012 he served as managing editor for Wealth Strategies Journal 2.0, a role that combined writing, editing and a steady exposure to tax and estate planning topics. That editorial work also gave him an audience among practitioners who handle wealth transfer and tax-structured matters.

Lamb moved into private practice the following year. In 2013 he worked as a lawyer and shareholder at Wiener, Weiss & Madison, A Professional Corporation. The next year he took on title insurance responsibilities at Titlesite, L.C., adding a transactional angle to his background. Those positions put him on both sides of real estate and estate-planning work: drafting documents, reviewing title issues and advising clients on closing-related risks.

He is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Texas. He maintains memberships in local and state organizations, including the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Shreveport Bar Association. He is also a member of the Louisiana State Law Institute and participates in the Tax and Estate Planning Council of Shreveport. Those affiliations support ongoing ties to probate, tax and estate practice communities and keep him connected to regional developments.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in document review and steady in transactional settings. His background in editorial work contributes to a careful approach to drafting and a preference for clear client communications. Over time his work has included estate planning, probate and title insurance matters, and he continues to work on tax-related issues that intersect with wealth transfer and real estate.

As of 2026 he practices in the region served by Wiener, Weiss & Madison and handles matters that span estate planning, probate, tax issues and title insurance for clients in Louisiana and Texas. His current practice centers on estate planning, probate administration, tax-related matters and title insurance.
