About Richard C.

Richard C. Rahnema trained in both Canada and the United States before settling into private practice. He earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 2005 and took his legal degree from Bond Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2008. Those academic choices shaped a lawyer comfortable in cross-border settings and attentive to how people and law interact.

Early in his career Rahnema moved between jurisdictions. He is licensed to practice in New York, Arizona and in Canada. He joined several professional organizations that mirror that geography: the State Bar of New York, the State Bar of Arizona and the American Bar Association. He also holds membership in the Mohave County Bar Association, the Alternative Dispute Resolution section of the State Bar of Arizona and the Society of Upper Canada. The pattern suggests a practitioner who values both local bar engagement and national networks.

Rahnema’s work has often involved matters that touch more than one legal system. That orientation is reflected in the mix of memberships and the offices he keeps. Colleagues describe him as methodical in building a case file. He pays attention to procedural detail and to the practical steps needed to move a file toward resolution. He has engaged in alternative dispute resolution settings, as indicated by his involvement in ADR groups in Arizona. Participation in those forums has been a regular part of his professional life.

Over time Rahnema has run his own practice. He is the principal of Rahnema Law. Running a small firm has required him to handle a range of tasks beyond courtroom advocacy. He manages client intake, drafts pleadings and negotiates settlements. He also maintains professional relationships across state and national lines, coordinating with counsel in different jurisdictions when a matter demands it.

Outside the office his memberships keep him connected to developments in law and practice management. He attends bar events and ADR seminars. He meets peers in Mohave County and participates in broader conversations through national bar groups.

Today Richard C. Rahnema practices from Rahnema Law. His practice includes cross-border matters and dispute resolution, and he remains active in the bar associations that reflect his bi-national training and multi-state licensure.
