About Rich Maloumian
Rich Maloumian Jr. began his academic path at Lehigh University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1990. He went on to earn his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1994. Those years set the stage for a career spent largely at the intersection of courtroom work and client advocacy.
He launched his legal career the same year he finished law school. In 1994 he joined the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Lawyer. That early period put him in trial courts and on a steady docket of criminal matters. The work provided frequent chances to argue motions, try cases and handle evidence—experience that later informed his move into private practice.
In 2000 he established The Law Offices of Rich Maloumian Jr. and shifted from the public sector to running his own practice. Over the years his office has handled a range of criminal and traffic matters. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He also holds admission to the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, allowing him to take federal matters when they arise.
Memberships and professional affiliations have been a constant. He is a current member of the Pennsylvania State Bar and the New Jersey Bar. He also belongs to the National College for DUI Defense, an organization that points to regular work on impaired-driving cases. These affiliations reflect the circles in which he continues to work and learn.
His practice covers state and federal criminal defense, with routine handling of DUI and traffic cases. He represents clients at arraignments and hearings, negotiates pleas and takes cases to trial when needed. The firm’s work draws on courtroom experience gained in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office as well as years in private practice.
Colleagues and clients describe his approach as straightforward and court-centered. He tends to emphasize preparation and the practical aspects of casework: motions, witness examination and cross-examination, and plea negotiation when appropriate. He maintains an active presence in the courts where he is admitted and continues to handle criminal defense, DUI and related matters through his firm.
He currently practices through The Law Offices of Rich Maloumian Jr., representing clients in state and federal courts, with a practice focus on criminal defense and DUI cases.
