About Renie
Renie Leakakos trained first as a business student and later as a lawyer. She earned a B.S. at Loyola Marymount University, studying business management and psychology. She continued her studies at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where she completed her J.D. The combination of business and law shaped how she approaches client problems.
Early in her public-facing legal work she took on a role at Hera Hub in 2014 titled Entrepreneur Law Guru. In that capacity she worked directly with entrepreneurs who were starting companies, helping them sort through entity choices, basic contract terms and early-stage regulatory questions. The role put her in front of small-business owners and founders. It also exposed her to the practical nonlegal challenges founders face.
Outside of client work she has been active in bar-adjacent professional groups. She served as Regional Director for the Lawyers Club of San Diego from 2016 to 2019. In that leadership role she helped organize regional programming and outreach. She has maintained ongoing professional memberships while balancing practice and volunteer commitments.
Her training in business management and psychology informs how she counsels clients. She tends to break complex problems into concrete steps. Clients describe straightforward advice and an emphasis on predictable outcomes. Her work often involves counseling small businesses and entrepreneurs on formation, governance, contract drafting and dispute avoidance. She also advises on day-to-day compliance matters that can trip up young companies.
Leakakos is licensed to practice in California. She has spent much of her career offering practical legal help rather than courtroom-focused litigation. That background makes her a frequent resource for business owners who want to prevent legal headaches before they arise. She has balanced institutional roles, such as her work with the Lawyers Club, with hands-on advising.
She continues to serve business clients across California, combining her business education and law degree to assist entrepreneurs and small companies with entity formation, contracts and routine compliance work.
