About Renee
Renee Garcia earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Boston University in 1989. She completed her legal studies at Whittier Law School, receiving a J.D. in 1994. Those academic foundations set up a career that has crossed state lines and courtrooms.
After law school she became a member of the State Bar of California in 1994. She later joined the District of Columbia Bar in 2010 and the Washington State Bar in 2011. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. Over the years Garcia has practiced in a range of courts and handled matters at both trial and appellate levels.
Garcia has split her time between private practice and collaborative roles. She serves Of Counsel at the Law Offices of Rudolph E. Loewenstein and also operates under the Law Office of Renee Garcia. Those positions reflect a mix of courtroom work and advisory roles for other lawyers. Colleagues know her for steady courtroom presence and a willingness to consult on complex litigation.
Her professional life includes leadership in a number of legal organizations. She served as president of the Newport-Harbor Bar Association and of the West Bar Association. She sits on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service and maintains memberships in the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, the California Public Defenders Association, and the Orange County Bar Association. Her bar memberships in California, the District of Columbia, and Washington underline a multi-jurisdictional practice.
Garcia’s work has involved both trial and appellate matters, and she regularly appears in state and federal courts. She draws on courtroom experience when advising clients and mentoring younger attorneys. Outside the courtroom she has contributed time to bar activities and referral services, helping to connect people with legal help and to shape local bar initiatives.
Today she practices through the Law Offices of Rudolph E. Loewenstein and the Law Office of Renee Garcia, handling litigation and appellate matters in state and federal courts. She currently concentrates on trial and appellate litigation in state and federal courts.
